Hailuoto road trip

Summer sun, a van, your besties and the open road. Sounds like a music video. An immersive audio sculpture, secret flea market, brewery, soup at a local fish deli, beach, nature. The island Hailuoto is a cozy mix of wild nature, artisan expertise and original local culture. 

Forget the schedules, directions and driving and let the guide take care of that. Just pack some snacks and bring some change for ice cream. Lean back and take a nap if you want. 

It’s about 30 minutes to the ferry (from Oulu city center) and the ferry takes 25 minutes. After that its short drives from location to location, with flexibility to stay longer in places you love. We leave at 10 am from where you like and we are back about 6 pm (depending on ferry schedules etc.). 

Reservation for 1-7 people. Price is 142 – 840 € / person. Dogs are allowed if it’s ok for all guests. 

The van is a stock van and some of the locations are not wheelchair accessible, but send us a mail or call us and we’ll check if we are able to work out a trip.

Planned locations are: Tuulesta Temmattu art and craft cafe, Organum immersive audio sculpture, Marjaniemi beach and fish deli, Hailudon Panimo craft brewery, secret flea market, Ailasto BnB and gift shop. Possible optional locations are outdoor museum and bird watching tower. (Local Wilderness Oulu reserves the right to changes. Possible reasons to changes are local events, weather and traffic.)
