Sankivaara boasts two full-length courses and Finland’s largest driving range. Both of the 18-hole courses are challenging yet also suitable for beginners.
Virpiniemi Golf’s 18-hole course was designed by the esteemed landscape architect Jan Sederholm. The first nine holes are in an esker forest. The remaining nine are located by the sea in the Gulf of Bothnia, where the wind can pose its own challenges.
Anyone can play at Oulujokilaakson Golf’s 12-hole course in Muhos. No green card is required to play on these naturally formed courses. Separate courses in the shady forest make up a 3.7-kilometre route.
