Hands-On Biodiversity Workshop - Let's built an insect Hotel by Naturest

An engaging and educational workshop exploring the vital role of pollinators in sustaining ecosystems, food production, and biodiversity. In this case, doing together is not only fun, but also educational and does good for our planet.

Set in the historic Forest Ranger’s House, Loppula, in the heart of the Sanginjoki Nature Reserve, this hands-on experience combines environmental education with teamwork and practical craftsmanship.

Through a learning-by-doing approach, participants discover why pollinators are essential to our planet while building a functional insect hotel to support local biodiversity.

This workshop also strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills. Working with our hands is not only practical, it also activates neural pathways and is good for our brain health.
A playful and interactive activity before the workshop helps us understand Finnish Everyone’s Rights and how they should be taken into account in this workshop.

Duration for the workshop is 3 hours and it includes a little break with snack. This product is available between May–October and the recommended group size is 8–15 participants.

The program was originally designed specifically for participants aged 8–18, but it is also perfect for work groups, groups of friends, or other adult groups.
