Climate Clock brings contemporary artworks into the landscapes of Oulu, from coastal environments to quiet river valleys and forest surroundings.

Located across Oulu, most of the artworks are set in natural landscapes beyond the city centre. The installations can be explored as easy day trips from Oulu. Some locations are best reached by car, while many are also accessible by public transport.

The artworks can be visited individually or combined into day trips from Oulu. Choose your own route and explore Climate Clock at your own pace. Many locations are easily reachable within 15–40 minutes from the city centre. Travel times are approximate and may vary depending on the route and season.

About Climate Clock

Climate Clock is part of the cultural programme of the Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture. The project brings international contemporary art into the landscapes of northern Oulu, exploring themes of time, climate and the relationship between people and nature.
