Did you know that there used to be a tannery in Myllytulli?

Adventure Factory is an outdoor playground located outside the Museum and Science Centre Tiima where you can play around deep in the machinery of the old tannery. I wonder what this lever does?

Adventure Factory invites visitors into the over 100-year-old factory: to climb around its conveyors, to slide down the giant slide that resembles piping, and explore the factory’s cogs, pipes, and vats.

Adventure Factory is a joint production of the Oulu Museum and Science Centre Tietomaa. It brings out the Tiima building’s history from the time it was Åström’s tannery. Adventure Factory reawakens the area’s past to be experienced with all your senses.

Adventure Factory is free of charge, accessible, and safe. You enter the fenced outdoor playground from inside the building.

In the dark hours, the factory comes alive in a brand-new way as its light artworks are lit!
