Panoramic Elevator

In Tiima, the past and the present come together: the old water tower of Åström Brothers Oy leather factory serves as a panoramic elevator.

The tower was finished in 1921. It is approximately 45 meters high and one of the tallest buildings in the Oulu city centre. For many, the tower is known as the tower of Tietomaa where it has served as a venue for many exhibitions. Today, only the tower’s panoramic platform is in public use.
