Vauhtipuisto – a family favourite in Nallikari
Vauhtipuisto is a seaside favourite for families in Nallikari, Oulu. Set right by the beach, the park offers a fun mix of rides for both younger children and taller adventurers – with plenty to enjoy for adults as well. Beyond the rides, kids can explore Kakaravaara, a charming and free playhouse village, or take a break at Restaurant Huvilinna for sweet treats and family-friendly favourites.
Vauhtipuisto is open for the summer season from 30 May to 8 August 2026, welcoming visitors daily from 12:00 to 19:00. In winter, the area transforms into a cosy Winter Village with seasonal activities for families.

Kierikki – A Journey to the Stone Age for the Whole Family
Kierikki takes you thousands of years back in time to a Stone Age riverside landscape. Located along the River Iijoki, this destination offers things to see and do for all ages – especially families with children.
Children can experience history first-hand: walk along wooden duckboard trails to a realistic Stone Age village, try ancient handicrafts, practice archery, and explore Stone Age artefacts. Workshops allow visitors to create things themselves and learn through play, while the outdoor area offers plenty of space to run and explore.
The modern visitor centre features exhibitions, a café, and beautiful river views, making Kierikki a perfect day-trip destination where history, nature, and hands-on experiences come together.

SuperPark Oulu – Indoor Fun Whatever the Weather
SuperPark Oulu is an indoor activity park located in Limingantulli, just a short distance from the city centre. The park offers active fun for all ages in any weather – the Adventure Area, Game Arena, and Freestyle Hall invite visitors to move, play, and enjoy themselves.
SuperPark Oulu is open Tuesday to Friday from 14:00 to 20:00, and on weekends from 11:00 to 18:00. The park is closed on Mondays.

Huikia Adventure Park –Thrills in the Treetops
Huikia Adventure Park offers exciting experiences and the chance to challenge yourself high above the ground on rope courses built in the trees. The courses run along routes built into the trees, and participants are secured with safety harnesses. The tasks are suitably challenging for both children and adults – there are around 150 different elements in total. The park is located in Pikkukangas Park near Raksila swimming hall, within walking distance of Oulu city centre. No previous climbing experience is required – visitors receive instructions and safety guidance on-site before starting.
Huikia is open from May to September.
